Although as a new company we are not yet part of the UN Global Compact network, Above IT Oy is already operationally committed to the ten principles of the UN Global Compact corporate responsibility initiative and operates responsibly in all areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. We strive to find a balance between Above IT Oy’s financial sustainability and our broader responsibilities.
We take all reasonable measures to minimize the environmental impact of our business operations and to ensure that our use of natural resources is sustainable and environmentally responsible. We recognize that we are in a climate and ecological emergency and are committed to taking meaningful action to minimize climate impacts.

We maintain a safe and pleasant working environment for all our colleagues and support the protection of human rights. We recognize the important contribution of our suppliers and partners to the success of Above IT Oy. We strive to develop positive and sustainable relationships and to provide support for achieving the highest legal, ethical, and environmental standards. We also acknowledge the use of micro, small, and medium-sized suppliers, as well as local suppliers, and recognize the benefits this offers to the communities in which we operate.
We comply with all laws, standards, statutory and other obligations, and best practices related to our operations and the jurisdictions in which we operate. We strive to adhere to customer practices when necessary and reasonably possible, without conflicting with our own practices or other obligations.
Above IT Oy is committed to the following practical goals for the benefit of the environment, among others:
- We practice hybrid work, favoring remote work. In this way, we aim to reduce our own energy consumption by 30% by the end of 2025.
- We primarily meet our customers via Teams connections instead of in-person meetings. In this way, we aim to reduce work-related travel by car to customers by 50% by the end of 2025.
- We encourage the utilization of circular economy models in our future equipment and tool acquisitions for our own use. We aim for at least 50% of all equipment acquisitions for our own use to be made utilizing circular economy markets by the end of 2025.
We also aim to measure and monitor the achievement of our goals by our board and update them annually for the benefit of our shared environment! Sustainability is an important area for us, which we monitor at a strategic level in our board work.
