Technical Training: Microsoft Sentinel Fundamentals and First Steps
In April 2026, we will host a free technical training webinar on Microsoft Sentinel – Fundamentals and First Steps.
The training is designed for IT administrators and security professionals who want to understand what Microsoft Sentinel is, how it fits into the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, and how to begin its implementation. The training covers Sentinel’s key areas, such as:
- What Microsoft Sentinel is and what it is used for
- How Sentinel fits into the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Understanding the cost structure and pricing
- Importing logs into Sentinel and connecting data sources
- KQL fundamentals – Sentinel’s query language
- Creating and managing analytics rules
- SOAR – automated responses and playbooks
In the training, we will walk through concretely how Microsoft Sentinel is deployed, how log data is collected and analyzed, and how threats can be responded to automatically. The training includes, in Above IT’s style, live demos, practical examples, and real tips on how to implement the features.
